Yoga relaxation

Stressed? Can’t sleep? Always working? I got you!! Yoga plays a huge role in relaxation and here’s what you should do to be able to sleep with a smile on your face

1. Put away any distractions such as your phone, laptop, etc.

2. seat yourself in a comfortable area with sufficient space

3. start meditation as follows

   • sit down in a Vajrasana or Badapadmasana

   • keeping your back straight take deep breaths for any amount of time you feel is right. 

    • while doing so try keeping your mind as free and blank as possible.

    • wait till your mind clears up and you feel relaxed

4. next, slowly get up and perform the following asanas

* Prasarita Padottanasana

* Utthan Pristhasana

* Uttanasana

* Savasana

According to WHO, 56 million Indians suffer from depression and another 38 million Indians suffer from anxiety disorders. One way to fight back is to meditate and perform yoga asanas.

Yoga helps promote relaxation in the body and coordinates our mind, body, and breathing. This helps our body to naturally feel at ease. Instead of practising yoga when you’re stressed, I would suggest practising yoga often to avoid stress!
